In 1967 Loris Azzaro started his couture and fashion accessories brand after leaving an academic career. With his first boutique opening in Paris, France a year later, along with gaining recognition through magazine covers with models wearing his dresses, Azzaro gained fame for colorful and shiny dresses with daring styles. The first fragrance was introduced in 1975.
